Many of the best players in the NFL happen to come from the same college.

There have been so many elite college teams over the years that fans still talk about to this day.

One of those teams was the 2019 LSU Tigers.

That team not only had Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Joe Burrow, but also two elite wide receivers.

Both Justin Jefferson and Ja’Marr Chase were on that team that went undefeated and won the National Championship.

Now all three of those players have entered the NFL and continued their success.

But, Jefferson and Chase have started a friendly rivalry now that they play on separate teams.

There is no doubt they each want to have a better season than their counterpart.

Jefferson went on Yahoo Sports and discussed his relationship with Chase.

He said: “We’re brothers at the end of the day – of course we’re always going to compete with each other.”

Jefferson mentioned that he thinks Chase can have an outstanding season this year.

But, he still believes he will be better.

Jefferson has arguably been the best wide receiver in the NFL since the 2020 season.

He has never had a season with fewer than 1,400 yards and has gotten better each year.

It will be interesting to see what Jefferson can do for an encore this year.

The next step Jefferson can make is to become the first wide receiver with a 2,000-yard season.

With the 17-game season, that milestone is easier to accomplish.

Still, it is going to take an incredible year to see it happen.

Jefferson seems most likely to get it done, but do not count out Chase as a worthy adversary.
