Andre Iguodala Believes James Harden Made A ‘Calculated’ Move

Philadelphia 76ers superstar guard James Harden got the week started off with a bang as he went right at Daryl Morey during an Adidas event in China.

After opting into the last year of his deal with the 76ers earlier in the NBA offseason, Harden immediately asked the team to trade him, with his preferred destination being the Los Angeles Clippers to join forces with Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, and Russell Westbrook.

Although the 76ers and Clippers have been in trade talks for quite some time, the team pulled the plug over the weekend, seemingly prompting this outburst by Harden.

Four-time NBA champion Andre Iguodala recently chimed in on the subject during an appearance on “Gil’s Arena” and claimed this was a calculated move from Harden, via NBACentral.

With Morey having a checkered history with China, Iguodala feels Harden used it to his advantage, as he’ll have anti-Morey supporters in that country and may be exempt from punishment from the NBA.

Although Iguodala may be on to something, it remains to be seen how calculated a move this actually was, as there’s no telling whether Harden is any closer to being traded.

On Tuesday, it was reported that this is just the beginning of Harden’s antics to make the 76ers organization uncomfortable, which is obviously not something the team is looking forward to.

As it stands right now, Harden is still a member of the team in Philadelphia, with no telling where he might land in the NBA nor whether any team is ready to take him on, as he could do more harm than good at this point.
