The NFL preseason is a time when many players can make a name for themselves.

Since most of the starters do not play, that opens the door for some unknown players to shine.

One player who was elite in his first preseason game was Houston Texans third-round pick Nathaniel “Tank” Dell.

The former Houston Cougar put on a show in his first game as a Texan.

He caught five passes for 65 yards and one touchdown in the game.

Also, he seemed to be simply unguardable for the majority of his routes.

The PFF NFL Podcast talked about how good Dell looked in his first NFL game.

Dell was seen by many analysts as one of the most underrated receivers in this past draft class.

But, his size is what most likely made teams hesitant to draft him.

Dell stands at 5-foot-10 and weighs 165 pounds.

That is not the ideal size for many wide receivers and was in large part why he fell to the third round.

The Texans are not expected to contend this season so they should focus on developing their young players.

Houston selected C.J. Stroud second overall in this past draft, and he is expected to be their QB of the future.

Both Stroud and Dell should look to develop strong chemistry this year.

Even if their play will not result in wins, these two are expected to be in the team’s plans.

It will be fun to see how Dell holds up in his first NFL season, as he certainly got his career off to a good start.
