Darvin Ham Makes Championship Claim For Lakers Next Season
The Los Angeles Lakers headed into the NBA offseason with the intention to keep their roster relatively intact, even though it’s inevitable for teams to lose and add players during the free agency process.
Although that was the team’s intention, the Lakers have always been seduced by the prospect of adding superstars to their team during the summer, and there was one available in Kyrie Irving.

Darvin Ham told ESPN that the Lakers finally have the depth to win another NBA Championship.

If the Lakers’ run to the Western Conference Finals last season is any indication, the storied franchise may very well have what it takes to reach the NBA Finals next season.
However, the competition in the West has only gotten better, as the Lakers will have to contend with the Phoenix Suns, Golden State Warriors, Sacramento Kings, Los Angeles Clippers, and the defending NBA champion Denver Nuggets in a tough conference.
Although many of these teams upgraded in different ways this summer, the Lakers will remain a threat to come out of the West if the team can stay healthy and carve out roles for the incoming players.
