Former Coach Praises Pau Gasol Ahead Of HOF Ceremony
This weekend in Springfield, Massachusetts will be remembered forever in NBA history.
That is because the 2023 Hall of Fame class is being inducted.
Among many impressive names in the upcoming class, we have some of the most-liked players of all time.
Featured in this class are Dwyane Wade, Tony Parker, Dirk Nowitzki, and Pau Gasol.
Each player is very deserving of heading into the Hall and it should be an amazing weekend for the NBA.
One player whose career flies under the radar is Los Angeles Lakers great Pau Gasol.
Gasol was a soft-spoken player who was never looking to be in the headlines.
But, his play was good enough to make him one of the best big men in the NBA during his time.
Former NBA coach Lionel Hollins went on SiriusXM NBA Radio to discuss Gasol.
He said Gasol was “one of the sweetest guys I’ve ever been around.”

Gasol started his career in Memphis with the Grizzlies before being traded to the Lakers.
He became great friends with Kobe Bryant while in LA as the two won two championships together.
Gasol also made six All-Star teams and four All-NBA teams in his career.
The legendary Spaniard played for his Olympic team five times and walked away with two silver medals and a bronze.
His well-rounded game is something that many European players try to duplicate.
Gasol, Nowitzki, and Parker all enter the Hall coming from Europe.
They just go to show that basketball has become a global game.
