After another disappointing season in 2022, the Carolina Panthers decided that now was the time to make some aggressive moves and get the franchise back on track as one of the best in the NFC.

As a result of this new aggressive mindset, the Panthers made a trade with the Chicago Bears for the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, with the intention to select a potential franchise quarterback to build around.

Once draft day rolled around, Carolina chose to go with quarterback Bryce Young out of the University of Alabama, as he seemed to be the most NFL-ready player at the position who could start Week 1 and possibly hit the ground running in 2023.

On Saturday, the new-look New York Jets will get a chance to see Young for the first time in the NFL, with superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers already being a big fan of the rookie, via Joe Person of The Athletic.

With four NFL MVP awards and a Super Bowl title, Rodgers knows what it takes to be a winner in this league, which bodes well for Young, as getting an endorsement from the superstar could mean he has a bright future ahead.

Fortunately for Young, there is no quarterback controversy in training camp, as new head coach Frank Reich has already named him the starter for Week 1 over backups Andy Dalton, Matt Corral, and Jake Luton.
