The courthouse was built in 1907, and is a three-story, rectangular, [[Neoclassical architecture|Classical Revival]]-style building sheathed in a smooth [[ashlar]] veneer above a rusticated first floor. It features tetrastyle [[Corinthian order]] [[portico]]es at each of the four entrances and a three-stage [[cupola]] atop the flat roof.
