In a few years, Cooper Flagg might be one of the biggest young stars in the NBA.

But just because his basketball career is ahead of him doesn’t mean league drama is waiting.

The other day, a rumor surfaced that Flagg played against Bradley Beal in a one-on-one game at Jayson Tatum’s basketball camp.

According to the rumor, Flagg beat Beal, who didn’t take it well and started to curse the young player out.

Flagg is pushing back in a big way against this rumor.

B/R Hoops has footage of the high school player flat-out denying that he and Beal ever played together or got into it.

“Me and Brad Beal never played one-on-one. I got no beef with Brad,” Flagg said.

Of course, if Beal did lose to Flagg, it wouldn’t be anything to be ashamed of.

Yes, he’s a young player but he’s also ridiculously talented.

The high school star averaged 25.4 points and 13 rebounds per game at Peach Jam this summer.

That was enough to turn plenty of heads and turn him into a genuine draft prospect.

Flagg is also known for his outgoing personality and style.

He doesn’t have a fear of trash-talking, which is why this rumor was so believable.

Beal has also denied the rumors on social media so it’s quite clear that this match-up never really happened.

Still, in a few years, Beal and Flagg might actually go toe-to-toe during a regular season game.

Flagg should be proud that people believed this story because it shows just how much potential he has.

He may not have played an official NBA game yet but he’s already on the league’s radar.
