The Philadelphia Eagles are hoping to avenge their heartbreaking loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in last season’s Super Bowl.

They got there by achieving a blowout win over the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship Game.

The 49ers were without quarterback Brock Purdy for most of the contest, and that absence allowed Philly to easily walk all over them en route to the big game.

When asked about going up against San Francisco, star wide receiver A.J. Brown said there’s no bad blood on his team’s side and that Philly respects the Niners, via NFL Network.

The Eagles will look a little different this year, as they lost running back Miles Sanders and defensive tackle Javon Hargrave during the offseason.

Hargrave signed a big contract with the 49ers, and he should make what was the NFL’s best defense last season even better.

Hargrave will be replaced by rookie Jalen Carter, who was the No. 9 pick in April’s draft and won two national championships as a member of the Georgia Bulldogs.

The Eagles and the Niners seem likely to match up again in the NFC title game this winter, but first, the Eagles will have to stave off some improved competition in their own division.

The Dallas Cowboys have improved on both sides of the football, and they’re hoping to get to the Super Bowl for the first time since the 1995 season by toppling the Niners themselves.

In addition, the New York Giants are looking to build on a surprisingly successful 2022 campaign in which they made the playoffs and upset the favored Minnesota Vikings in the Wild Card round.
