The Los Angeles Clippers hoped that getting Kawhi Leonard and Paul George on the floor together would be enough to win an NBA championship.

It’s hard to argue with that logic, as we’re talking about two of the best two-way players on Earth, and they did it at a time when Leonard could make a legit case for being the best player in the league.

When healthy, Leonard’s impact on both ends of the floor goes beyond measure, up to the point where his style of play has drawn comparisons to that of Michael Jordan.

Notably, former Clippers PG John Wall seemed to agree with those comparisons.

According to Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson, Wall addressed the similarities between the two, talking about how Leonard is driven by his desire to be great and how he’s virtually unstoppable when he gets to his spots on the court.

Wall believes that Jordan was more explosive, as opposed to Kawhi, who’s more methodical.

But when it comes to defense, it seems like they are the only players who can guard themselves.

Unfortunately, Leonard hasn’t been able to live up to the expectations since arriving in Southern California.

He left a lot to be desired in the bubble when the team crumbled under pressure, and he has been hurt more often than not in the playoffs ever since.

Even despite all that, he’s still considered one of the best players in the world, but he’ll need to give the rest of the league a remainder of his greatness next season.
