The New York Knicks are known for many things, including their devoted fanbase and their one-of-a-kind arena, Madison Square Garden.

The power of that place is so immense and unique that even professional players have been blown away by it.

Julius Randle spoke about MSG recently, via a video from “New York Basketball” on Twitter.

He had nothing but praise for his home court.

“Playing in the city, in the Garden, it’s different man. It’s an energy that’s just not matched anywhere else. Yeah, it’s dope. I love it,” Randle said.

Randle made this statement after listing some of the other iconic locations he’s played at.

He reminded fans that he played in college for Kentucky and his first years in the NBA were with the Los Angeles Lakers.

He called those spots “the epitome of excellence.”

Still, Madison Square Garden is a whole different animal from all of those, Randle claims.

Since joining the Knicks, Randle has seen his fair share of ups and down in New York.

In 2020-21, Randle averaged 24.1 points and 10.2 rebounds per game.

That was good enough to earn him the Most Improved Player of the Year award.

He was also selected for his first All-Star Game that season.

Things didn’t look as great the following year when he dropped down to 20.1 points a game and earned jeers from the fans.

There was even some talk of Randle being traded away from the Knicks.

But he redeemed himself last season, working well alongside new recruit Jalen Brunson.

Randle produced a career-high 25.1 points per game, along with 10 rebounds.

With another All-Star selection and the admiration and support of Knicks fans, Randle once again feels at home in Madison Square Garden.
