Former Player Makes Bold Claim On Mac Jones, Bill Belichick Relationship

During the Tom Brady era of the New England Patriots, there was no better team in the NFL, nor was there a better head coach than Bill Belichick.

The Patriots destroyed the competition during that era, with the team coming away with six Super Bowl titles and the distinction of having the greatest quarterback in NFL history as well as the greatest head coach in league history.

Unfortunately for New England, that era is long gone, and the new one pales in comparison, with Belichick unable to repeat his success with Mac Jones as his quarterback under center in Boston.

Even though Jones was impressive during his first season with the Patriots and earned Pro Bowl honors for his efforts, the magic seems to be gone in New England, as last season was a disaster, and Belichick could be coaching for his job this year.

Former NFL star wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh believes that Jones can’t stand Belichick and the Patriots won’t be able to turn things around until he leaves the organization, via “Speak” on FS1.

That’s a bold take by Houshmandzadeh, but he might not necessarily be wrong, as the team hasn’t seen any success since the departure of Brady, who immediately won a Super Bowl title with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after leaving New England.

If Belichick truly is the great head coach that he’s propped up to be, he’ll have to show it during the 2023 campaign by turning things around with Jones under center in a highly competitive AFC East division.
