Danilo Gallinari headlined the Boston Celtics‘ offseason moves from last summer.

He chose between them and the Chicago Bulls, eventually going to the Celtics and admitting he used to root for them when he was growing up.

Unfortunately, the former No. 6 pick was unable to fulfill his dream to emulate Larry Bird and light the TD Garden up, as he suffered a torn ACL and wasn’t able to play at all.

Then, he was used as a trade chip to land Kristaps Porzingis, being sent to the Washington Wizards.

That may no sit well with him, as he recently said on Italian podcast A Cresta Alta that he intends to put an X on the games he plays vs. the Celtics next season, as reported by Basket Universo. (via NBA Central).

Gallinari issued a strong warning against a team that he’s going to face at least three times next season, assuming he’s actually healthy, which has always been a major issue with him.

Even at 34 years old and with a never-ending history of major injuries, there’s no denying that Danilo Gallinari is the kind of player who could get hot in the blink of an eye and go off for 30+ in any given night; that’s why he still keeps getting contracts despite his well-documented injury proneness.

Then again, making this to be a revenge game after not playing a single game for the organization and sitting out for a full season is kind of odd, and Celtics fans may not care about his comments at all.
