NBA Star Places Himself Among Greatest Team USA Players Ever

The US Women’s National Soccer Team is currently trying to claim another World Cup victory and they’re getting the support of many, including Kevin Durant of the Phoenix Suns.

Durant’s image was used in a post from the USA Basketball team, wishing the Women’s National Team luck.

One fan was confused why Durant was in the picture, alongside WNBA icon and Olympian Diana Taurasi.

“It’s a good luck from 2 of the greatest olympians in basketball,” Durant answered on Twitter.

Durant’s statement is obviously a fond compliment to Taurasi, who has won Team USA five gold medals.

But, of course, Durant will also get into hot water from some because he is calling himself one of the best American basketball players to play in the Olympics.

Durant has definitely done incredibly well while representing his country over the years.

For example, in the 2012 Olympics, he set the record for the total points scored in an Olympic basketball game.

That year, he helped the national team go undefeated on its way to a gold medal.

During Durant’s career, the Men’s National Team has won three gold medals.

And he has led the team in scoring in all three of his Olympic tournaments.

It’s clear that Durant is definitely one of the best stars Team USA has ever had but a lot of people push back whenever he makes a complimentary statement like this one.

However, Durant doesn’t mind and will continue to speak his mind, even if he’s praising his skills.

No matter what sort of comments it receives, Durant’s well wishes to the US Women’s National Team are appreciated.
