Across NFL history there have been many massive trades that have yielded big returns.

But one team that pulled off a trade heist of the decade was the Philadelphia Eagles.

When they decided to trade Carson Wentz, not many people knew what the return would be.

Looking back at it the Eagles completely transformed their roster with that trade.

According to Dov Kleiman, the picks the Eagles acquired from the Indianapolis Colts allowed them to significantly improve their roster.

The Eagles were able to add A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, and Jalen Carter, to name a few big names.

Thanks to that trade the Eagles were also able to turn their team over to Jalen Hurts, who has been much better than Wentz.

Hurts is expected to be an MVP candidate again next year while Wentz is not even on a roster.

The downfall of Wentz has been quite astounding.

Back in 2017, Wentz was an MVP candidate and looked like a future superstar.

Since then he has been terrible and looked nothing like the All-Pro-caliber player we saw before.

Ultimately, this trade will go down as one of the best in franchise history.

Eagles GM Howie Roseman deserves plenty of credit for this move.

The Eagles have one of the best rosters in the NFL due to trades and recent draft success.

It will be interesting to see what the Eagles do for an encore after having one of their best seasons in franchise history.
