Last season, the New York Giants had somewhat of a breakout year, with the team being able to come together as the result of the leadership on the sideline with NFL Coach of the Year Brian Daboll calling the shots.

Daboll struck a chord with his players during the 2022 NFL season, and his guidance and coaching wisdom paid off for the storied franchise as New York went on to make the NFL playoffs and pull off a major upset against the Minnesota Vikings.

Unfortunately, the magical postseason run came to an end in the next round, with Daniel Jones and company falling to the division rival Philadelphia Eagles, but the season was considered a success regardless of the way it ended.

Interestingly enough, one of the main reasons for the team’s success against the Vikings in the playoffs was due to a gritty performance from wide receiver Isaiah Hodgins, who was battling through some severe pain, as he explained on the “2nd Wind Podcast” via Dov Kleiman.

Although this isn’t Terrell Owens-level when he battled through a broken leg in the Super Bowl with the Eagles, this is still impressive and showed just how tough the 24-year-old is and what the team can look forward to in the future.

Hodgins proved to be a vital piece to the playoff puzzle last year, and his performance and toughness have likely earned him some respect within the organization and coaching staff that will carry over to next season as he could see an expanded role.
