Sabrina Ionescu made basketball history, and we’re not talking just about the WNBA but also the NBA.

The New York Liberty star broke the record for the highest-scoring round in a three-point shooting contest, scoring 37 points in a single round.

Unsurprisingly, that led to countless reactions on social media, especially from some of their colleagues from the professional basketball scene.

That includes Minnesota Timberwolves star Karl-Anthony Towns, who took to Twitter to shower her with praise after such an impressive performance.

Needless to say, Towns knows one thing or two about three-point shooting.

He has called himself the greatest shooting big man in the league in the past, and while that could be a bit of a stretch, he should definitely be in the conversation at the very least.

His shooting skills and ability to spread the floor made the Timberwolves think it could be a good idea to pair him with a more traditional big man in Rudy Gobert, with the Frenchman anchoring the paint with his rim protection while Towns slid to the power forward spot.

And even though the early returns of that experiment haven’t been exactly encouraging, it seems like the Timberwolves are looking forward to running it back with their two big men for years to come.

As for Ionescu, props to one of the most impressive — and perhaps the greatest — performances in the history of all three-point shooting contests, both male or female and in the U.S. and overseas.

Hopefully, this will help the WNBA get some more exposure.
