Charles Barkley Praises Western Conference NBA Team After Surprising Season
The most surprising team in the NBA last season had to be the Sacramento Kings.
They entered the year as a team that many believed was in a rebuild.
But at no point did the Kings play like a team that was not expecting to win.
They finished the regular season with the third-best record in the Western Conference.
But they got knocked out of the first round of the playoffs by the Golden State Warriors.
NBA legend Charles Barkley was thrilled with the recent success of the Kings.
According to Kirsten Moran-Kellar, Barkley said “The NBA is better when Sacramento is doing well.”
“The NBA is better when Sacramento is doing well… What coach Brown is building there is fantastic. It’s great for the NBA.”

What the Kings did last year does not appear to be a fluke.
They are led by point guard De’Aaron Fox and center Domantas Sabonis.
Each is an All-Star caliber player and someone the Kings will build around.
Also, head coach Mike Brown deserves plenty of credit for the quick turnaround.
In his first year with the team, he won Coach of the Year.
It will be interesting to see what the Kings do for an encore next season.
They will not have the luxury of sneaking up on anyone.
The Western Conference is going to be a gauntlet once again.
It should not surprise anyone if the regular season standings are flipped on their head from what we saw last season.
We have seen a few NBA teams that have been “one-year wonders” in the past.
But it appears that the Kings are not one of those teams.
