Unsurprisingly, the New York Jets will be featured on HBO’s ‘Hard Knocks’ next season.

This was far from a shocker, considering that they’re one of the hottest teams in the league right now, with their young core looking promising and Aaron Rodgers taking the field to lead them to the playoffs.

However, NFL analyst Colin Cowherd believes this is actually terrible news for the Jets.

He talked about HBO’s need to compete and ‘fight for their lives in the streaming world’ now that Netflix also has its very own NFL-related series set to debut.

Also, he claimed that the Jets would give HBO and its viewers just what they’re looking for: Gossip and juice.

He claims that their ‘unpredictable’ owner will want to be on television, so he’s likely to be around the facility more often than he would usually.

Cowherd also believes that Rodgers’ often-controversial takes and comments would be something everybody wants to listen to, not to mention the possibility of Quinnen Williams holding out as he’s still waiting to get a new contract.

Moreover, Cowherd claims that even though HC Robert Saleh will try to hide from the cameras, they’ll look to get him because he’s ‘a good-looking guy,’ predicting that the NYC media could ‘amplify turmoils’ and make this all even juicier.

Whatever the case, the stakes have never been higher for the Jets, and they were well aware of that long before they got featured on Hard Knocks.

Will that affect their season? We’ll have to wait and see.
