Analyst Casts Blame For Stefon Diggs Saga
Earlier this offseason, star Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs skipped out on his team’s mandatory minicamp, sparking lots of speculation that he was unhappy with something.
There were some rumblings that he had a rift with quarterback Josh Allen, but Allen claimed he had no problem with the three-time Pro Bowler.
Analyst Adam Schein says the controversy surrounding Diggs is the fault of head coach Sean McDermott, who said he was “very, very concerned” about the wideout’s absence from minicamp.
“The Stefon Diggs drama is on Sean McDermott NOT the media. … The minute Sean McDermott said very, very concerned, that’s what created the firestorm.”

Schein also implied that overall, McDermott simply isn’t the right head coach to lead the Bills to the promised land.
Ever since Allen emerged as a top-level quarterback in 2020, the team has been a Super Bow contender, but it has failed to get to the big game, and it has reached the AFC Championship Game only once.
Last season, they finished with a 13-3 regular-season record, only to get trounced by the Cincinnati Bengals 27-10 in the divisional round.
Fans will never forget Buffalo’s failure the previous year in the divisional round when it lost a doozy of a game to the Kansas City Chiefs in overtime.
There are those who feel the Bills have arguably the best roster in the NFL, and the team has added linebacker Leonard Floyd, who won a Super Bowl championship with the Los Angeles Rams in 2021, this offseason.
He could help the team improve a pass defense that ranked 13th in touchdowns allowed and 15th in yards given up in 2022.
Will 2023 be the year the Bills finally get over the hump and win their first Vince Lombardi Trophy?
