Francisco Lindor Is Back On His Expected Pace

The New York Mets need to see their star players play like stars.

That has been part of their downfall so far this year.

Some of their top hitters are struggling to perform up to expectations.

One of the big names who got off to a slow start was shortstop Francisco Lindor.

His batting average is a lot lower than his career average and he is on pace for one of the lowest averages of his career.

At least he is still producing in the power department.

Lindor is doing a good job of driving the ball when he does make contact.

The 29-year-old shortstop joined the Mets before the 2021 season.

The most home runs he has hit for them in one season is 26.

Well, he is on pace to surpass that number.

According to SNY Mets, Lindor is on pace for some major production this year.

Despite having a low batting average, 100+ runs and RBI along with 34 home runs would be a great season.

He seems to be more comfortable playing in New York with each passing season.

The Mets will need the best version of Lindor if they hope to make a playoff push.

New York is 6.5 games out of a Wild Card spot and they need to pass at least three teams to get there.

The playoffs seem like a long-shot for the Mets at the moment, but one great month could turn their season around.
