Lamar Jackson Dominates A 2023 NFL Salary List
Just a few months ago, it looked like quarterback Lamar Jackson was about to leave the Baltimore Ravens.
He had been demanding a huge contract extension from them for more than a year, and when they used their non-exclusive franchise tag on him, it looked like his days with the team were numbered.
But the Ravens eventually gave in and agreed to terms with Jackson on a $260 million contract.
As a result, he will make an eye-popping $80 million in cash this coming season, which is almost twice as much as Daniel Jones, the NFL’s second-highest-paid player in 2023.
Sunday Night Football on NBC’s Twitter account shared the numbers.

Jackson may not be an elite quarterback, but Baltimore couldn’t have afforded to lose him, as they would’ve had to go into what could have been a lengthy rebuilding process if he had agreed to a deal with another team.
He is one of a cadre of dual-threat QBs who have entered the league in recent years, and he ran for 764 yards and three touchdowns last season.
The 26-year-old will have a couple of new weapons to throw the ball to this coming season, as Odell Beckham Jr., a three-time Pro Bowler, will be running routes for the Ravens.
Beckham may not be what he used to be physically, but he should be able to contribute, at least as a situational wideout.
In addition, many are high on the potential of Zay Flowers, whom the Ravens took in the first round of April’s draft, and he could have legitimate star potential at the next level.
