The Vikings Dominated A Clutch 2022 Stat
The Minnesota Vikings had a successful 2022 season in some ways, as they finished with a 13-4 regular-season record, which was the second-best in the entire NFL.
But they fell on their faces in the playoffs when they got upset by the upstart New York Giants in the Wild Card round.
On the other hand, Minnesota did finish on top of the league in one category by leading everyone in points scored during the fourth quarters of games, as noted by NBC Sports on Twitter.

There’s an old saying that it’s not so much how one starts games, but more about how one finishes games, and the ability to get off the mat and finish games strong is an important ability when it comes to winning consistently.
Minnesota did win several close games, and there was one game in particular that stood out more than any other.
In Week 15, they took on the Indianapolis Colts, a team that was floundering amidst some poor play from aging quarterback Matt Ryan.
The Vikings fell behind 33-0 just before halftime and looked to be dead in the water, but they progressively chipped away at their deficit throughout the second half, and late in the fourth quarter they suddenly found themselves in a competitive ballgame.
Running back Dalvin Cook scored a touchdown off a long pass from quarterback Kirk Cousins with 2:15 left, and the ensuing two-point conversion forced overtime, where Minnesota won.
The team will have to make do this coming season without Cook, who they released, as well as No. 2 wide receiver Adam Thielen, but they still have wideout Justin Jefferson, who may be the best in the business.
