What is going to happen with Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers?

When it was announced a few days ago that he wants out of his team, it seemed very likely that he’d force his way onto the Miami Heat.

But that might not end up happening.

Adrian Wojnarowski, via NBACentral, is reporting that the Blazers aren’t very impressed with the offers presented by the Heat.

Additionally, the team’s front office has “no interest” in Heat player Tyler Herro, who is surely one of Miami’s biggest trade assets.

The news that Portland isn’t blown away by Herro has some fans online saying that Lillard will never head to Miami.

The Heat only have so many pieces they can send in return for Lillard.

If Portland doesn’t want Herro, is any sort of deal possible?

Numerous people said that Blazers general manager Joe Cronin needs to accept Herro because he is not going to get anyone better from the Heat.

Others are saying that a third team simply has to get involved if this deal is going to happen.

There have been countless rumors of another team jumping into negotiations and making both sides happy.

Finally, some people said that the Blazers will only be satisfied if they receive Bam Adebayo instead of Herro.

Of course, almost all reports claim that one of the biggest reasons Lillard wants to go to Miami is so he can play with his friend Adebayo.

So is that proposal even possible?

With the news of Portland wanting a pass on Herro, speculation is only growing around Lillard and his departure from the Blazers.

Can Portland and Miami make something happen or is this deal falling apart?
