Basketball never seems to stop for players in the NBA, especially the young players that are trying to leave their mark on the league and the world with their skills on the hardwood.

Along with NBA free agency being in full swing and the NBA Summer League about a week away, the roster for Team USA has officially been set, with 12 players being selected and accepting the opportunity to represent their country this summer.

According to NBA on ESPN, the following list of players will try to come out on top this summer during the 2023 FIBA World Cup.

Even though this Team USA squad doesn’t have LeBron James or Stephen Curry leading the way, head coach Steve Kerr will still have a talented young squad at his disposal, with a few players being rising stars in the league, like Austin Reaves, Mikal Bridges, Jalen Brunson, Anthony Edwards, Tyrese Haliburton, and Paolo Banchero.

Although the names mentioned will likely see a lot of time on the floor or at least play a sizable role, this squad will likely be led by its more seasoned veterans like Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart, Bobby Portis, and Jaren Jackson Jr.

This is definitely an interesting mix of players, which will likely need some time to build some chemistry, but they are already considered to be the favorites ahead of Serbia, Slovenia, Greece, France, and Australia.

If this team can come together quickly and not have any chemistry issues, it may be there for the taking for Team USA, with more international success coming for Kerr.
