2023 World Wonder Ring Stardom event
Stardom Mid Summer Champions 2023 (スターダム真夏のチャンピオン2023, Sutādamu manatsu no chanpion 2023) is an ongoing professional wrestling event promoted by World Wonder Ring Stardom. The event will take place on July 2, 2023, in Yokohama, Japan, at the Yokohama Budokan.[1]

Background[edit]
The show will feature nine professional wrestling matches that result from scripted storylines, where wrestlers portray villains, heroes, or less distinguishable characters in the scripted events that build tension and culminate in a wrestling match or series of matches.[2] The event’s press conference took place on June 6, 2023, and was broadcast live on Stardom’s YouTube channel.[3]

The first preshow match was broadcast on Stardom’s YouTube channel. Waka Tsukiyama and Yuna Mizumori picked up a victory over Miyu Amasaki and Hina.[4]
