Russell Westbrook Has Made A Decision About His NBA Future
After a disastrous stint with the Los Angeles Lakers, superstar guard Russell Westbrook was traded to the Utah Jazz and ultimately bought out, which led to him going back to the City of Angels to play for the Los Angeles Clippers.
Even though many had written off Westbrook as a superstar on the downside of his career, the one-time NBA MVP resurrected his career by playing alongside Kawhi Leonard and Paul George.
Westbrook’s future was in doubt heading into the offseason despite playing well for the Clippers, as he was set to hit the free-agent market with no telling where he might land.
Fortunately for the veteran guard, it didn’t take long for him to secure a new deal, with the Clippers committing to him on a two-year deal, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Returning to the Clippers is the best move for the future Hall of Famer, as he seemed to figure out how to get back to playing like his old self.
Although Westbrook will likely never get back to dropping triple-doubles on a nightly basis like he regularly did with the Oklahoma City Thunder, he still has a chance to win a title, with the Clippers still in title contention as long as Leonard and George can stay healthy.
In the 21 regular-season games Westbrook played for the Clippers last season, the veteran guard averaged 15.8 points, 7.6 assists, and 4.6 rebounds per game.
Even though he struggled with shooting with the Lakers, he definitely bumped up his percentages with the Clippers, shooting 48.9% from the field and 35.6% from deep.
