After an incredible playoff run that resulted in the Los Angeles Lakers reaching the Western Conference Finals, the storied franchise intended to keep its roster relatively intact during the summer.

Although superstar forward LeBron James hinted at possibly retiring, no one believed the four-time NBA champion would walk away from the game, especially without a farewell tour.

On Saturday, James again dropped a big hint about his immediate future, with the perennial All-Star taking to Instagram to seemingly praise all the moves that have been made by Rob Pelinka and company via Bleacher Report.

The first move the Lakers made on Friday afternoon when the buzzer sounded was signing sharpshooting forward Taurean Prince, who wasn’t expected to hit the open market.

The Lakers acted quickly and immediately improved their three-point shooting, a significant need for the team in the last few years.

Then the Lakers made an unexpected splash, with the team agreeing to a three-year deal with Gabe Vincent, which resulted in the departure of Dennis Schroder, who signed with the Toronto Raptors.

Rui Hachimura and Austin Reaves returned on long-term deals, with the team doing exactly what they said they would.

Although it was getting shaky, with some believing he was headed elsewhere, the Lakers agreed to terms with D’Angelo Russell to keep him in town for two more years.

Center Jaxson Hayes was the big the Lakers targeted to give the team some frontcourt depth, and he could be a solid addition along with the other newcomers.

Obviously, James likes what he’s seeing, which is also a step in the right direction.
