The New York Mets have seen their season fall apart right in front of their eyes.

Entering the year many thought the Mets would be on the shortlist of teams that could compete for a World Series.

Instead, they might be out of the playoff picture by the trade deadline and looking to sell.

Not many people saw this downfall coming from the Mets but here we are.

There have not been many teams worse than the Mets in June.

According to Talkin’ Baseball, the Mets have not won a series in June and now find themselves eight games below .500.

The Mets have been poor in all aspects of the game.

Their team OPS is .714, which is tied for 19th in baseball.

Also, their team ERA is 4.59, which is 25th in the sport.

For a team that won 101 games last season, returning to the playoffs seems like a longshot for the Mets.

Their offseason additions are not paying off and the Mets have one month to make something of their season.

Mets owner Steve Cohen said if the team cannot turn things around by the trade deadline they will be sellers.

That means they have to make July the best month of their season or it will be over for them.

It will be interesting to see if the Mets make any changes to their coaching staff.

They need something to try and spark the clubhouse, as that has shown positive effects on teams in the past.

Ultimately, June was a disaster for the Mets and they have one month to try and save their season.
