Tuesday night was all about Shohei Ohtani as he led the Los Angeles Angels to a 4-2 win over the Chicago White Sox, dominating on the mound and at the plate.

He went 3-for-3 with two home runs as a hitter and gave the Angels 6.1 innings of one-run ball on the mound, striking out 10 White Sox batters.

However, Ohtani also achieved a major personal milestone with his epic night.

Tuesday’s game against the White Sox marked the very first time that Ohtani had hit multiple home runs in a game that he started as a pitcher.

On Twitter, Bleacher Report took note of this impressive accomplishment.

Ohtani won the American League MVP back in 2021 and finished second in the voting last season behind New York Yankees slugger Aaron Judge.

This year, he appears to be on pace to pick up another MVP trophy.

A night such as this will certainly strengthen his case.

Ohtani has done many things over the course of his career, but Tuesday night marked the first time he had ever recorded a multi-homer game while also serving as his team’s starting pitcher.

The Angels cruised to their 44th win of the season as a result, but the two-way star was the story of the game thanks to his many impressive feats.

10 strikeouts on the mound while also hitting two home runs is almost unheard of.

But Ohtani is no ordinary baseball star, and he showed why on Tuesday with yet another epic performance as he led the Angels to a win.
