Thursday was a landmark day in Colorado sports history, as the Denver Nuggets celebrated their first-ever NBA championship with a parade in their city in front of their adoring fans.

The city of Denver may be starting to build a bit of a winning tradition, as the Nuggets have joined the Denver Broncos (three Super Bowl titles) and the Colorado Avalanche (three Stanley Cups) in the world championship club.

The parade was a wild scene, and the team put together a slideshow of some of the best photos taken there.

Superstar center and NBA Finals MVP Nikola Jokic wasn’t sure if he would be at the parade, as he wanted to return to his home country of Serbia, but he was there and he was glad he showed up.

What grabbed most people’s attention was the behavior of head coach Michael Malone, who displayed more swag than anyone can ever remember an NBA coach sporting.

He dropped curse words and said he wants to win another championship next year, and on the same day, he also managed to troll LeBron James, whom his team got past in the Western Conference Finals.

Malone, who has been critical of the national media for supposedly continuing to focus on James and the Lakers rather than giving his team the respect he felt it deserves, also sported a shirt that seemed to troll the press.

With a relatively young roster, the Nuggets could very well take part in another parade like this in a year.
