Former NBA Player Makes A Surprising Statement About The Nuggets Future
The Denver Nuggets are on the verge of their first NBA championship as they prepare for Game 5 of the NBA Finals versus the Miami Heat on Monday evening.
They hold a 3-1 series lead and have convincingly outclassed the resilient and scrappy Heat, who simply haven’t been able to muster enough firepower to even compete.
Already, people are asking whether the Nuggets will win a second world title and if they can even become a dynasty.
Many feel the team can win it all a second time, but former NBA player Antione Walker says not so fast, as he called the Nuggets “a one-hit wonder.”
Potential Dynasty? Nah. @WalkerAntoine8 thinks this Denver Nuggets squad is a one hit wonder ?@AshNicoleMoss: “Whoooaaaa ?” #MileHighBasketball | #NBAFinals

Denver has an impressive team that is headlined by superstar center Nikola Jokic, the two-time regular season MVP who has put together one of the best postseasons ever seen, not just among big men but by all players.
He’s averaging 30.1 points, 13.3 rebounds and 9.8 assists a game while shooting 54.0 percent from the field and 46.6 percent from 3-point range so far in the playoffs, and he has put up an incredible 10 triple-doubles in 19 postseason games.
Meanwhile, guard Jamal Murray has averages of 26.7 points and 7.1 assists a game in these playoffs.
However, to become a dynastic team, one needs to have more than one superstar, such as the Golden State Warriors of Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant, or some of the Los Angeles Lakers’ vintage squads over the last 40 years.
The Nuggets will certainly be contenders for a while, but Walker feels they need to fill out the supporting cast around Jokic and Murray, particularly off the bench.
