After the Chicago Bears decided to trade the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, it became clear that the team was going all in on quarterback Justin Fields, even though the team was coming off a forgettable 2022 campaign.

Despite losing their last 10 games, Fields showed a lot of promise that he could potentially be the new face of the franchise, as he kept those games competitive until the very end.

Losing 10 straight is never a good look, and Fields was frustrated with the team’s inability to close out games, but the skills and progress he showed were enough to prove he is a star on the rise and in need of some polish to reach his true potential.

In an effort to take another step in his progression, Fields has put in the work during the offseason and recently got to pick the brain of former NFL superstar Michael Vick, according to the team’s Twitter account.

With Fields proving to be lethal in the ground game with a mobility that might only be compared to Lamar Jackson in the league today, Vick is the perfect quarterback to help show the promising young star how to get it done in the air and on the ground.

Fields’ next step will be learning how to keep opposing defenses on their toes with the air attack, and he’ll have some help this year with the recent acquisition of DJ Moore and an entire season with Chase Claypool.

It could be an exciting year for the Bears, as they’ll try to take the next step in their efforts to be a playoff team in the NFC with Fields leading the way.
