The long and complicated relationship between the Green Bay Packers and superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers has officially come to an end, with the storied NFL franchise trading the 39-year-old to the New York Jets on Monday.

It has been a long time coming, but it’s safe to say that both sides are relieved to finally part ways and start on a new path in 2023.

With Rodgers switching teams and conferences, the NFC North division will look much different, as the Packers will no longer be the threat the team has been for the past two decades now that Jordan Love has taken over for the four-time NFL MVP.

Former NFL star Richard Sherman shared his thoughts about the Packers in the post-Rodgers era and believes no team will fear Green Bay on their schedule moving forward via The Volume Sports.

At this point, the Packers have no idea what they’ll be getting making the switch from Rodgers to Love for the 2023 NFL season.

Although the team has clearly been high on the 24-year-old, he has yet to play a significant amount of snaps under center to give the team a clear assessment of what he’ll bring to the table next season and for the foreseeable future.

That said, Sherman is likely correct in that the once-scary prospect of facing the Packers is no more with a new era of football in Green Bay set to get underway with no telling what the future will hold.

However, stranger things have happened in the NFL when young quarterbacks finally get their opportunity to shine, so who knows what we’ll see in Green Bay moving forward.
