The NBA playoffs are well underway, with one of the first-round series already in the books, as the Philadelphia 76ers have advanced to the second round after sweeping the Brooklyn Nets.

Although the 76ers will be waiting for the winner of the Boston Celtics and Atlanta first-round playoff series, no other series has gone final, with every team in the postseason (outside of Brooklyn) having at least one win thus far.

On Sunday, two of the most exciting matchups in the first round played Game 4 of their respective series with some thrilling results.

First, the New York Knicks were able to hold off the upstart Cleveland Cavaliers to take a 3-1 series lead while the defending NBA champion Golden State Warriors evened their series with the Sacramento Kings at two games apiece in an instant classic.

After the first two games on Sunday went final, Skip Bayless of Fox Sports took to Twitter to claim this was the best first round of the NBA playoffs in league history.

Bayless must always have an outrageous take to promote his show with Shannon Sharpe, or no one would watch, and that’s precisely what he’s done here.

Yes, there have been some exciting moments in the postseason already, but saying this is the greatest first round we’ve ever seen is a little ridiculous, especially considering all the injuries that have piled up.

Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Tyler Herro, Joel Embiid and Ja Morant have all missed time in the first round due to injuries.

Without these stars, it’s hard to say this is the greatest first round or even in the conversation.
