The NFL Draft is set to being next Thursday the 27th.

That has been a day that all fans and teams have been waiting for.

It is the one time when you can select future superstars and franchise-changing players.

But most teams are cautious to not give up too much information on who they might draft.

At this point in the offseason, there are plenty of “smokescreens” that get floated out as rumors.

For instance, the one many people are talking about is how the Houston Texans might not take a quarterback second overall.

It is hard to believe anything you hear heading into the draft.

Indianapolis Colts general manager Chris Ballard thinks the same thing.

According to Andrew Siciliano, Ballard mentioned how “Everybody’s lying.”

The Colts are set to pick fourth overall, and everyone is interested to see what they might do.

There is no question they are looking for a quarterback, but are they going to select one in the first round?

Also, they could be looking to trade up to land the quarterback of their choosing.

It will be most interesting to see where quarterbacks Anthony Richardson and Will Levis end up.

Both are projected to be top-10 picks, and the Colts seem like an obvious landing spot.

You can assume Ballard has something planned for his team, but he will not give any hints.

Indianapolis has been looking for a franchise quarterback ever since they lost Andrew Luck.

This might be the draft where they find one.
