Everyone knew that the series between the New York Knicks and Cleveland Cavaliers had a chance of being wild.

These two teams are very similar in many ways and both have the same sort of fire in their bellies.

On Friday night, the Knicks just had more fire.

They beat the Cavs, 99-79, with a stunning offensive and defensive showing at Madison Square Garden.

It was a tough night for the Cavaliers, who were held to under 80 points.

That’s an incredible accomplishment by the Knicks considering the Cavaliers have one of the most celebrated offensive lineups in the league.

The fact that they kept Donovan Mitchell’s output limited shows just how great this Knicks team can be.

Fans loved every second, including the hard work of Jalen Brunson and the two minutes of play that Derrick Rose had.

Some fans are already expecting another win at home and then just one more road win.

If the Knicks can do that, they will overcome their fourth-seed rivals and make the second round.

Some fans were worried about the Knicks after a tough Game 2 but their fears were put to rest with the team’s impressive Friday performance.

All fans agreed on one thing: the team needs to stay ready to fight for Game 4 on Sunday.

The Cavaliers are well aware of the mistakes they made in Friday’s game so the Knicks are anticipating them to fight even harder on Sunday afternoon.

The Knicks gave their fans a wonderful Friday night and reason to believe they could win this opening round.

What will they give them on Sunday?
