The San Francisco 49ers have reportedly been receiving calls from other teams making trade offers for quarterback Trey Lance.

There is no indication that the 49ers are actually interested or even open to dealing him, especially since he is currently their starter while Brock Purdy recovers from surgery on a torn UCL in his throwing elbow.

But those calls have left NFL fans speculating where Lance could end up if any of those trade proposals ever see the light of day, and the team with the highest odds of landing him is the Tennessee Titans.

Going into last season, some thought the Titans were the best team in the AFC South.

After all, they boasted Derrick Henry, who posted 1,538 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns in 2022 and is one of the best in the league at his position.

But the quarterback position is a problem for them, as Ryan Tannehill had a poor season and missed five games with an ankle injury, and as a result, they won just seven games.

Lance has played in just eight games and started only four thus far in two pro seasons, as an ankle injury in Week 2 prematurely ended his 2022 campaign.

He is thought to have tremendous potential, as he can move the chains with his legs and seems to have the ability to accurately connect on the long ball.

His development as a short to intermediate-range passer, especially in the pocket, may indicate just how good he will ultimately be as an NFL signal-caller, whether it comes with the 49ers or some other team.
