Joe Burrow Holds Modern NFL History
Joe Burrow of the Cincinnati Bengals is already one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL at the age of 26.
He hasn’t won a Super Bowl yet (he lost in Super Bowl LVI to the Los Angeles Rams just over a year ago), but many feel it will only be a matter of time before he is fitted for a world championship ring.
But Burrow already has a place in modern NFL history, as he has the highest career completion percentage of any QB since 1999.

Burrow is one of several younger elite quarterbacks who have broken onto the scene in recent years, including Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Justin Herbert, and Jalen Hurts.
He isn’t quite as prolific as Mahomes, he doesn’t have the running ability of Allen or Hurts, and he doesn’t have the seemingly bionic arm of Herbert, but he is incredibly consistent and steady no matter how thick the pressure of a ballgame is.
He led the league in completion percentage in 2021, and last season he threw for 4,475 yards and 35 touchdowns while getting his first Pro Bowl nod.
With star wide receivers Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins by his side, Burrow will look to lead the Bengals to their first-ever Super Bowl title once the 2023 season commences.
He will have better pass protection thanks to the acquisition of Pro Bowl offensive tackle Orlando Brown Jr., but there is the possibility Cincinnati will let go of running back Joe Mixon, whose production fell in 2022 compared to the prior season when he made the Pro Bowl.
