NFL Analyst Roasts A Controversial QB Prospect

There will be a potential-laden group of quarterbacks taken in the 2023 NFL Draft, and that group includes Bryce Young, C.J. Stroud, Anthony Richardson, and Will Levis.

Levis is perhaps the least intriguing signal-caller of the four, but he is still expected to go fairly high in the draft.

However, Danny Kanell, an analyst for CBS Sports, isn’t buying any of the Levis hype.

In fact, he feels Levis will turn out to be a bust in the pros.

He spent his first two seasons of college football at Penn State, where he was mostly a backup to Sean Clifford, and he transferred afterward to the University of Kentucky, where he put up solid stats.

Levis had 24 touchdowns in 2021, and this past season he threw 19 touchdown passes.

Turnovers seem to be a bit of a concern for him — he threw 10 interceptions last season and 13 interceptions the year prior.

He has shown himself to be a bit of a rushing threat as well, recording 391 yards and nine touchdowns on the ground in 2021, but in 2022 he actually lost 107 yards on the ground for the season.

If Young, Stroud, and Richardson are the first three players taken in this year’s draft, a team such as the Indianapolis Colts, who have the fourth pick, may have a difficult decision to make — should they take Levis, flaws and all, or should they opt for a player at a different position?

There are a few talented pass rushers available in this year’s draft, as well as running back Bijan Robinson, who is thought to have tremendous potential.
