SIDNEY — UPDATE @ 10:30 a.m.:
A man has been hospitalized after being injured in an officer-involved shooting at a grocery store in Sidney, a police on scene confirm.

Police told News Center 7 said there was an initial confrontation with a man with a handgun in the cash register area of Sidney Foodtown. The man allegedly fired shots inside the store.
Sometime after officers arrived on scene, the alleged gunman was shot by police. No officers were injured in the shooting.
The alleged gunman was taken to Wilson Hospital and his condition is unknown at this time.
The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation has been called to investigate the shooting. A spokesperson for the Ohio BCI confirmed the agency’s involvement in the shooting investigation, however the spokesperson said there were no additional details available for release.

Police are on scene of a reported shooting at a grocery store in Sidney.
Sidney police dispatch confirmed crews were responding to the Sidney Foodtown in the 1000 block of Wapakoneta Avenue.
