Giants Sign Mitch Haniger To Three-Year Deal
The Giants are signing outfielder Mitch Haniger to a three-year contract worth $43.5MM, reports Jeff Passan of ESPN (Twitter link). The deal contains an opt-out provision after the 2024 campaign, reports Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area (on Twitter).
San Francisco has looked for ways to upgrade their outfield, and they’ll start by bringing in one of the better mid-market options available. Haniger has spent the past six seasons with the Mariners, where he’s typically been an effective right-handed power bat. He’s also a quality defender in the corner outfield.
More to come.
