Cameroon vs. Brazil; Serbia and Switzerland tied at 2: World Cup live updates


In a back and forth affair, Switzerland scored first, Serbia took a 2-1 lead, then the Swiss found an equalizer just before halftime at 974 Stadium.

Xherdan Shaqiri, one of three players to score at the last three World Cups, put Switzerland ahead in the 20th minute with a deflected effort that eluded Serbian goalkeeper Vanja Milinković-Savić.

Six minutes later, it was Aleksandar Mitrovic’s turn. The Fulham forward deftly headed home a cross from Dusan Tadic, easily beating Switzerland’s Gregor Kobel. Dusan Vlahović gave Serbia a lead in the 35th minute with an opportunistic strike following a bad giveaway in midfield and a terrible clearance from the Swiss.
