Ohio Life Sciences names Jon Snyder as managing director of investor relations

Ohio Life Sciences, an organization formerly known as BioOhio that represents and advocates for the state’s life sciences industry, has a new managing director of investor relations: Jon J. Snyder, a longtime medical devices entrepreneur in Cleveland.

In the job, Snyder will lead business development strategy for Ohio Life Sciences, “advancing the organization’s member services strategies, life sciences advocacy and economic development initiatives,” according to a news release.

The 35-year-old organization in November announced its rebranding and restructuring to an association model. It says it represents an industry “that includes more than 4,200 businesses statewide,” including biotech, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, labs, digital health, gene and cell therapy, and agricultural biotechnology companies, as well as research and academic institutions.

Snyder is the founding CEO and executive adviser of Neuros Medical, Inc., a Cleveland-based medical device company. At Neuros, he led the company through “several years of development, raising $40 million in venture capital and strategic partner investment,” according to the release. His experience includes company formation, business development, product development, market management, sales management, venture capital investment and fundraising at startup and Fortune 500 companies, including Cyberonics, Cardinal Health, Imalux, Realeve and STERIS.

Eddie Pauline, president and CEO of Ohio Life Sciences, said in a statement that Snyder “will be a powerful addition to the team, leading our business development and investor relations strategy to grow our effort and impact in Ohio.”
