Loudonville’s Ohio Theatre offers full slate of Christmas shows
LOUDONVILLE − It’s the most wonderful time of the year and the Ohio Theatre is offering a full list of Christmas entertainment options over the coming weeks.
The downtown theater will present its annual Music and Laughter Christmas Extravaganza: A Hometown Christmas 2022 at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 9-10.

Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 seniors, $8 students ages 5-18, and kids 4 and under are free. Seating is general admission and tickets are available online at theohiotheatre.com or by calling 419-994-3750. Tickets will also be available at the door beginning an hour before each show.
The Ohio Theatre is located at 156 N. Water St.
“You never know what might happen at the Music and Laughter Christmas Extravaganza,” Director Sally Hollenbach said. “There will be a lot of great Christmas music as well as hilarious skits by the Music and Laughter troupe.”

Among the performers are John, Jenny and Rebekah Carroll, Laura Conley, Traci Cooper, Wesley Fogle, Hannah Harrison, Grant and Sally Hollenbach, Scott and Amy Loveday of The Lovedays, Rachel Kelly, Amber and Zach Manchester, Dennis and Deaunna Morgan, Bethany and Christopher Paterson, Nate and Emily Roblin, Tonda Sprang, Aria, Piper and Easton Van Horn, Josh and Kate Weber, Grady, Grace and Madeline Wilson, Matt Young, Grace Scarberry, along with the students from the Loudonville High School Redbird Rhapsody and the Shining Stars Dance Studio.
Each performance will feature different musical acts and performers.
“We’ll share some very special moments together as we celebrate Christmas 2022 in Music and Laughter fashion,” Hollenbach promised.
“We hope you can join us for one of our most fun events of the whole year,” she added. “We always look forward to our Christmas Extravaganza, which involves so many talented people from the community! It’s a great way to help celebrate the Christmas season with laughter, music, and fun in this one-of-a-kind show.”
“This is our fourth year in a row for us to do the Christmas Extravaganza, and it fills me with such joy to watch it keep growing more and more every year,” she added.
Continuing in the Christmas celebration, Shining Stars Dance Studio will present its Holiday Bop at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 11.
Christmas movie events planned
“We also have three special Christmas movie events sponsored by the Loudonville Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2275,” Hollenbach announced.
At each of these sponsored movie events, the Eagles are paying admission for students/kids 18 and under plus one adult. The kids will also get a free small popcorn. Tickets will only be available at the door on a first-come basis for these special movie events, and kids 13 and under will need to be accompanied by an adult. Doors open an hour before each movie.
The first movie the Eagles are sponsoring is “Elf” at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 16 -17 and 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18. Santa will also be making an appearance after the movie on Friday and Saturday.
The second Eagles-sponsored Christmas movie is “The Polar Express” during Christmas break at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 22.
The final Eagles-sponsored Christmas movie is “A Christmas Story,” and it will be playing at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 28.
“We are grateful to the Eagles for their donation to make these special Christmas movies available to the community,” Hollenbach said. “What a wonderful way to be able to give back to the families in our community as well as help The Ohio Theatre at the same time! Thank you so much to everyone who is a part of the Loudonville Eagles!”
