UGA football among top schools for 4-star Rome DL

Rome High School defensive end recruit Stephiylan Green has named his top six schools. Green is a four-star defensive line prospect from Rome, Georgia. He is ranked as the No. 291 player in the class of 2023. The 6-foot-4, 270-pound defensive end is a top 30 recruit in Georgia.

Green projects as a 3-4 defensive end at the next level, but could also play as a 4-3 defensive tackle if he ends up in a 4-3 defensive scheme.

Stephiylan Green considers Georgia, Ohio State, Clemson, Alabama, Tennessee, and Ole Miss to be his top six schools. Green announced his top schools via his Twitter account:

Stephiylan Green has recently visited Alabama, Ohio State, and Clemson. Green has additionally visited the Georgia Bulldogs a few times. He has scholarship offers from many of the top college football programs in the country, but the in-state Bulldogs were the first program to offer the Rome defensive end.

Georgia defensive line coach Travion Scott has a great recruiting pitch to land the top talent in the class of 2023. What would be one of the most important aspects of Scott’s recruiting pitch to prospects like Stephiylan Green? The 2022 NFL draft. Georgia had three defensive linemen (Jordan Davis, Devonte Wyatt, and Travon Walker) selected in the first round of the draft.
