Columbus weather: Flood advisory in effect


A steady rain falls as a student crosses the Oval at Ohio State University on April 13. The rain returned Friday and a flood advisory was in effect for Columbus and surrounding areas.

A flood advisory has been issued for Franklin County and surrounding areas until 10:15 a.m. 

Expect minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas, in addition to water on roadways.

The National Weather Service reported just before 7:30 a.m. that between a half inch and one-and-a-half inches of rain had fallen across central Ohio. An additional one to two inches are possible.
