1. Construction on a new project just a short drive away in Cleveland, Lighthouse Park, will be finished this summer. Though it no longer stands today, the lighthouse was a reflection of the times. When it was built in the 1820s and 1830s, the city was evolving because of its shipping industry, and the lighthouse was an important part of how ships found their way to Cleveland. Come August, the new park will be fully ready, with all kinds of amenities, landscaping, and new lighting. (News 5 Cleveland)
2. Looking for a new job? Having trouble finding opportunities in the area? Patch and Ziprecruiter have teamed up to compile a list of several job opportunities in the Strongsville area. 3. The Jardine Funeral Home is collaborating with Forget Me Not Animal Rescue to host the first annual Jardine Pup Parade on May 7. Bring all your dog lover friends to watch adoptable dogs from the Forget Me Not Animal Rescue put on a little parade for everyone. There will be free food and drinks, as well as a basket raffle. Those in attendance will also have a say in which pup wins best dressed. The event runs from 2:00-4:00 p.m. (Strongsville Patch)
