Oddo, Evanich, Wenger in Ohio North-South boys basketball games
Green’s Zack Oddo, Marlington’s Connor Evanich and Dalton’s Jalen Wenger will represent the area in Friday’s Ohio High School Basketball Coaches Association North-South Boys Games at Olentangy Liberty High School.
Oddo and Evanich will play for the North at 6:30 p.m. in the Division I-II game, which Green’s Mark Kinsley will coach for the North. Wenger will play for the North in the D3-4 game at 8.

Oddo led Green to an outright Federal League championship and a district title as the Bulldogs went 23-3 this past season. A 6-foot-6 forward, Oddo averaged team highs of 15.8 points and 6.8 rebounds to go with 2.1 assists per game. He shot 48.0% from the floor and 40.0% from 3-point range.
The Walsh University recruit earned player of the year from the Federal League, the Northeast Inland District and the Greater Akron Basketball Coaches Association. Oddo also was selected First Team All-Ohio. A three-year starter, he scored 1,045 career points.
Evanich averaged team highs of 16.7 points and 8.3 rebounds as the Dukes went 17-6. He missed most of his junior season because of a broken leg and torn ACL.

The 6-4 forward added 2.8 assists per game while shooting 43.9% from the floor and 38.9% from 3-point range. His 156 career 3-pointers are a school record, breaking the previous mark set by his father, Marlington head coach Nick Evanich, in 1996. Connor Evanich earned Eastern Buckeye Conference Player of the Year.
St. Vincent-St. Mary’s Sencire Harris, an Illinois recruit who played at North Canton Hoover his freshman season, and Dover’s T.C. Molk also will play for the North in the D1-2 game. Strasburg’s Landon Potopsky will play for the North in the D3-4 game.
The 6-4 Wenger averaged 25.9 points this season and became Dalton’s career scoring leader with 1,947 points. He was named First Team All-Ohio for the second straight year.
