Dos Hermanos Opening First Full-Service Restaurant

Over the last decade, Dos Hermanos has seen tremendous growth, going from singular taco truck, to a lineup that includes the truck, stalls at both North Markets, a spot at the new Crew Stadium (and other major sporting arenas), and a commissary kitchen, incubation space and taco-slinging setup at the Food Fort 2.0. It’s a comprehensive list that includes practically every type of space but one: the standalone, full-service restaurant.

Come fall, Dos Hermanos will check off that box too. The taco joint will open its doors at 3946 Morse Crossing at Easton.

“We’re ecstatic to see it grow to a true brick-and-mortar,” says Owner Lisa Gutierrez. “It will be our first full-service restaurant.”

In their own space, Dos Hermanos will expand on their menu of authentic, Oaxacan-style eats. Gutierrez says the taco truck launched with her husband’s family recipes and the restaurant will continue that tradition with even more Oaxacan specialities and traditional dishes.

The food will find its perfect partner in a margarita bar as the restaurant also works to secure its liquor license.

Taking over the former home of sushi eatery Edamame, which closed in 2017, Gutierrez says they’ll make the space their own by bringing some of that taco truck feel inside. Seating will be spread across the bar, main level and upper level, with the restaurant also including an area to host cooking classes.

Gutierrez says she was blown away when Easton contacted her about taking over the vacant storefront. In her previous career as a restaurant manager, she’d worked at Easton for many years and had always dreamed of one of the shopping center’s restaurants being her own.

She’s also excited to bring another local food option to Easton. The past few years have seen a wave of local restaurants open in the area, including Afra Grill, which is on track to open this spring, Fay’s Crepes, Crimson, Dragon Donuts and more.

Dos Hermanos will be open daily for lunch and dinner.
